Rugby World Cup 2011 Live Stream Or Argentina v Scotland Live Stream 25 September 2011
Argentina, nicknamed Los Pumas, has demonstrated in recent years that they have the ability to compete with and beat the higher ranked teams in international rugby. Argentina finished third in the 2007 Rugby World Cup, and is hoping to best that result at the 2011 Rugby World Cup.
Having undertaken a period of reconstruction in the build up to Rugby World Cup 2011, Argentina will be hoping their new breed of young stars will play with added passion and flair and set the rugby stage alight at RWC 2011.
Fans of the national rugby team from Scotland will be hoping the 2011 Rugby World Cup will be the World Cup at which Scotland will make its first major impact. With rugby in Scotland slowly adjusting to the rigours of the professional game and making strides to overcome years of domestic uncertainty, the team from Scotland will arrive at Rugby World Cup 2011 with a fresh batch of talented players.
Currently ranked 9th in IRB world rugby rankings, Scotland will be in Pool A at RWC 2011, with Argentina, England, Georgia and Romania, and will be hoping to achieve a top two placing in their pool to go through to the second stage of the 2011 Rugby World Cup.
The 1991 Rugby World Cup was the Scot’s best World Cup to date, when they claimed a semi-final spot before narrowly losing to England. Scotland went down to the All Blacks in the quarter-finals of both the 1987 and 1995 Rugby World Cups. In the 2003 Rugby World Cup Scotland lost to Australia in the quarter-finals, and although arriving at the 2007 Rugby World Cup with high expectations, the team again lost in the quarter-finals, this time to Argentina.
Coached by Frank Hadden, Scotland will arrive at Rugby World Cup 2011 with a squad of traditionally skilled forward players who are able to compete with the best in the world, and will hope to maintain pressure on the opposition long enough to convert to tries.
Scotland’s 2011 Rugby World Cup campaign will kick off on the 10th September against Romania in Invercargill, followed by Georgia on the 14th September, again in Invercargill. Scotland will then take on Argentina on the 25th September in Wellington before their final Pool A game against England on the 1st October in Auckland.
